How to configure behavior rules for an embed
Show a different video according to campaign or audience signals while keeping a safe default experience.
Behavior rules let one embed select a different video when a visitor matches defined conditions. Visitors who match no active rule see the embed’s default video.
Open Embeds, choose an embed, and scroll to its rules section.
- Select Adicionar regra.
- Name the rule by its purpose, such as “Paid campaign”.
- Choose the available condition, such as a UTM value or geographic criterion.
- Enter the expected value exactly.
- Select the video that should appear.
- Save and order the rules by priority.
When more than one rule could match, the higher-priority rule wins. Keep conditions mutually clear and leave a suitable default video for everyone else.
Test with a private window and a URL containing the intended campaign parameters. Also test a URL that should match nothing. You can pause a rule during an investigation without deleting its configuration.
Use audience data from Insights to decide whether a variation deserves its own rule.
