Player experience
Set a video’s playback speeds
Choose the starting speed and the playback-speed options available to people watching your video.
You can set the speed at which a video starts and the speeds viewers can choose while watching. This helps you adapt the player for content that needs more time, such as a class, or for short messages that need a specific pace.
Where to find it
Open the video and select Controles in the Vídeo edit-navigation group. On desktop, the navigation is on the left; on mobile, slide the tabs until you reach Controles. Scroll to Velocidade inicial and Velocidades disponíveis.
Set the starting speed
Under Velocidade inicial, choose the speed the player will use when the video begins. Select Salvar alterações at the bottom of the page to apply the change.
Before choosing a speed above 1x, watch the beginning of the video with that setting. Speech, demonstrations, and on-screen text can become harder to follow at a faster pace.
Choose options for viewers
Under Velocidades disponíveis, select the speeds you want to make available. Selected options appear highlighted. To remove a video-specific selection and return to the organization’s set, use Voltar a herdar da organização when it appears.
For viewers to use these options, keep Velocidade enabled in the controls area. After saving, reload the page or video embed and check the playback menu.
