Features / Automatic captions

A big part of your audience watches on mute.Captions bring those people back.

Plenty of the people watching you don't hear the audio: the student on the bus, the one next to someone sleeping, the non-native speaker, the one who needs accessibility. Without captions, they fall off halfway and never finish. It matters for your student, for the lead on your VSL, for the team watching your training. Moviie transcribes everything you upload, and that transcript is already the caption: synced to the speech, ready in the player, with no typing and no timing on your part. You just turn it on. It's the reach you paid to bring in and were losing to silence. When you want, you translate and step into a new market.

The video nobody hears

You pay for the play. And lose the person to silence.

Watching on mute isn't the exception, it's the default for a big part of the audience: in a survey of more than 5,000 adults, half said captions are essential to watch without sound, and a captioned video is far more likely to be watched to the end. On the feed, the sound comes off by default. Without captions, those people never heard you. They didn't reject you, they fell into the silence of a video you paid to put in front of them.

Three audiences your audio alone loses, in a course or a VSL.Captions win all three back, from the same video.
How Moviie solves it

The caption is already done. You just turn it on.

Moviie transcribes every video you upload, with no AI cost, and that transcript is already the caption: automatic, in the spoken language, synced. Nothing to type, nothing to time. You fix whatever you want, decide if it shows on by default, and translate when reach calls for it.

Automatic

Ready on upload, with no typing.

The video is up, the caption in the original language already exists and lives in the player, with no action from you and no credits spent. It comes sliced into readable cues synced to the speech, not a paragraph dumped on the screen. You decide, per video, whether it starts on for whoever opens the player. The work you were about to do simply isn't there.

  • Ready from the automatic transcript
  • Zero AI credits on the original caption
  • Synced and sliced for reading
  • On by default per video, if you want
Yours, editable

Fix a word, no reshoot.

Got a name or an acronym wrong? You adjust it on the dashboard: the text of each cue and its in and out timing. The original caption is always kept, so you edit freely and revert to automatic in one click. No reopening the video, no separate tool, nothing to re-export.

  • Editor for text and timings on the dashboard
  • Original always preserved
  • Revert to automatic in one click
  • No code, no reshoot
Multilingual

Translate the caption, open the market.

To reach people who speak another language, you translate the caption into a language from the curated set, see the cost in credits before you confirm, and that's it: the player now offers that language, same timing as the original, only the text changes. Each language is your bet on a market, never a charge that shows up on its own.

  • Curated set of high-quality languages
  • Cost in credits shown before you confirm
  • Same timing as the original, only the text translates
  • Editable just like the original caption
Side by side

The same video captioned, three different ways.

The difference isn't just price. It's the time that disappears from your day, who carries the work on every video, and whether reach grows with you or stalls. (The real proof is in the player up top: turn on the CC and switch the language.)

Captioning by hand is your time draining away on every video. On Moviie, the caption was already done. You just turn it on.

Comes with it

The caption is one layer. The whole platform is behind it.

Transcribed once, pays off in several places

The same text that captions the video also powers search inside the player, the summary, and chapters. One job, several wins, and none of them costs again.

Search inside the video

Whoever's watching types a word and lands on the exact point where it was said. The caption and the search drink from the same source. A long video stops being a black box.

AI dubbing

When a translated caption isn't enough, dubbing clones your voice and speaks the other language. Same video, more audience, in the same player.

Player on your brand

The caption shows on your white-label player: your color, your cover, your CTA at the end. No third-party brand fighting your content for attention.

Plays on any screen

The caption follows the video on phone, desktop, smart TV, and native app. One source, every screen, no rework.

Starts in 180ms

Global delivery and a fast player: the first frame shows almost on the click, with the caption ready to turn on. You don't lose the ones who arrived impatient.

About the caption on your video

What's automaticand what you control.

The one in the original language, no. It comes from the transcript, which is automatic and outside the credit meter on Moviie. Credits only come in if you decide to translate to another language, and even then the cost shows up in front of you before you confirm. The base caption on your video is free, period.

A curated set of high-reach languages, chosen so the translation comes out with quality (for example Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese). It's not "any language in the world": it's the set where Moviie stands behind the result, and it grows over time. Each translated language uses credits, shown before you confirm.

No. The caption comes from the video's speech, transcribed automatically, not from text written on the image. It shows what was said, synced to the audio. The title on your slide doesn't become a caption; what the person said about it does.

You can. On the dashboard you open an editor, fix the text of each cue, and adjust the start and end timing. The original caption is always kept, so you edit without worry and revert to automatic whenever you want. All on the dashboard, no reopening or re-exporting the video.
